Our leagues meet once a week, from Sundays through Thursdays, and are open to all skill levels. We offer both scratch and handicap leagues, so whether you’re new to bowling or already a pro, there’s a spot for you!

At GObowling, we’ve always had a thriving league program, and we’re looking to expand it even further. Our leagues aren’t just about competition – they’re about community. You’ll meet a fantastic group of people who get together weekly, not just to bowl, but to enjoy the social experience.

We Take Bowling Seriously – and So Should You!
GObowling is committed to offering the best bowling experience possible. We pride ourselves on maintaining traditional, free-fall tenpin bowling equipment – none of the string machines you’ll find at other centers. In fact, GObowling Dunstable is the second-largest proper bowling center in the UK, and we’re proud to be sanctioned by the BTBA (British Tenpin Bowlers’ Association).

In 2020, we made significant investments in our facilities, including a new scoring system and refurbishing our pinspotters.

And this year we’ve taken our commitment to excellence even further by upgrading to the state-of-the-art Brunswick Max lane machine, delivering the highest quality playing conditions for every game. To top it off, we’ve also replaced all pins across our 32 lanes, ensuring everything is in peak condition for your best bowling experience yet.

Since opening in 2002, we’ve been steadily approaching the milestone of 300 perfect games (a 300 score) bowled at our center!

No matter your age or experience level, if you can bowl without bumpers or a ramp, you’re welcome to join one of our handicap leagues. It’s the perfect way for new bowlers to ease into the sport while enjoying fair competition.

If you have spare time during the weekdays, we have a number social leagues that you can join.  The emphasis here is on the social element and getting a bit of exercise whilst enjoying a good game of bowling. You can enjoy discounts on both your bowling and on tea and coffee at the diner.

Our YBC is the perfect starting point for young bowling enthusiasts, welcoming ages from very young beginners to 21-year-olds.
We meet every Saturday morning at 9:30 for both bowling and coaching, offering a structured yet fun environment for every skill level.

• Comprehensive Training: Whether your child is just starting out or looking to refine their skills, our coaching sessions cover all the essentials of tenpin bowling. We also offer a “Learn-to-Bowl” program to guide newcomers through the basics and game rules, gradually integrating them into the YBC as they progress.

• National & County Competitions: Our YBC doesn’t just bowl for fun; we actively participate in national competitions and county tournaments, providing members with exciting opportunities to showcase their skills on a larger stage.

• Pathway to Success: Many of our YBC members advance to compete in senior leagues at GObowling, and several have even represented England in international tournaments. We nurture talent from the ground up and support their journey every step of the way.

• Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Parents are encouraged to support their young bowlers from the sidelines. Enjoy a cup of coffee from our Kitchen 22 while watching your child thrive on the lanes. Plus, you can join a “Learn-to-Bowl” class yourself and share in the fun!

Join the Sunday Superbowl League – Where Fun Meets Flexibility!

Looking for a laid-back, enjoyable league experience that fits your schedule? The Sunday Superbowl League is designed just for you! Bowling on Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm, this league offers a relaxed and flexible format that ensures fun and friendly competition.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

• Flexible & Fun: The Superbowl League runs for a 3-month season and is all about having a great time with friends. Compete in a stress-free environment where you can form teams of 2-4 bowlers and even compete individually within your team.

• All Skill Levels Welcome: Not a bowling pro? No problem! Feel free to use bumpers or a ramp to help improve your game. This league is perfect for bowlers of all skill levels.

• Join Anytime: Missed the start of the season? No worries! You can join at any time by paying a refundable £20 deposit.

• Bowling at Your Pace: Bowl as much or as little as you like, as long as you complete at least 3 games on a minimum of 4 Sundays during the 3-month season. The league starts at 6:00 pm, and if you’re running late, just make sure to complete your three games before the center closes at 10:00 pm.

• Flexible Team Options: You need a team of 2-4 bowlers, but your team members can vary each week. Feel free to have a roster of 6-10 friends ready to bowl, or even form multiple teams if you have a big group.

• Affordable Fun: Join the league for just £3.60 per game. As a Superbowl League member, you’ll also become a part of the GObowling Club, earning 20% off at both The Garden Drinks & Cocktail Bar and Kitchen 22—not just on Sundays, but all week long.

• Free Bowling Classes: Not confident in your skills yet? GObowling Club members get access to free Learn-to-Bowl classes to help you improve and impress your friends.
